Global Village Project

logo_gvpIn 2006 we linked and united more than 20 youth-led development action projects through internet. These projects took place simultaneously in Austria, Czech Republic, England, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia in Europe, in Russia, India and Pakistan in Asia, in Malawi, Sierra Leone and South Africa in Africa, in Ecuador and Peru in South America and in Canada in North America between 28th May and 4th June 2006.

Because of the great success in 2005 and in 2006 we will continue with the Global Village Project in the future. From 2010 onwards it will be integral part of the World Youth Congres series.

Co-management

United Games International joined Peace Child International, our long term partner organisation, in an international project to write a book on best practise on youth participation on a local level. This international book project was supported by the European Commission in Brussels and was scheduled to run for about two years. A German translation of the booklet is now available since September 2007.

Faith in Europe

logo_fiePeace Child International (together with United Games Partners) is leading a youth-led project promoting discussions about what kind of Europe young people want to live in. The project addresses diversity, growth, integration, and common values. The magazine was published in March 2007!

It's Your Turn! - European Youth Congress

logo_eycThe European Youth Congress on youth-led (development) projects – titled “IT’S YOUR TURN!” took place between August 5th and 12th in Mürzzuschlag, Austria.
About 60 young participants from all over Europe, each of them either experienced or highly motivated in carrying out projects on (sustainable) development, human rights, art and culture took part in the congress. The projects are now carried out by the participants in their home countries. During the congress a huge variety of workshops were offered, where young people could attain the necessary skills for their projects and for themselves.

About 20 participants of the European Youth Congress were successful with their application to join the 4th World Youth Congress in Québec City in August 2008.
