The theme of the United Games Austria festival this year was “Europe” and Peer Education. Even though most of the participents were from countrys of Europe there were also our friends from India who brought great joy to us all.

Our first days spent getting to know each other. Ther were workshops which helped the participants developing certain skills. The workshops were: Acting, Improvisation, Discussion, Documentation and workshop “Europe”. In the acting workshop delegates developed a play. The improvisation workshop helped delegates develop there interactive skills. The discussion workshop had the topic of Europe where participents discussed issues concerning Europe – how they feel in Europe, which possibilities especially the European Union offers them and more. In the documentation workshop delegates documentated all that’s going on and are learning how to make good pictures and videos and how to edit that material. And in the last workshop delegates tried to discover where you find “Europe” in the Mürz valley region.

Like in every United Games festival lots of friendships were made and there were lots of fun things to do. Still it isn’t over! It’s only the begining and everyone is enjoying the festivals program. There is no doubt in my mind that this festival will be a success and that the delegates will come home smiling.
