This year the European Youth Week, which gets organised each eighteen months and which is also about a dialog between youth and politicians, took place from 2nd to 9th November in Vienna in the context of Youth in Action. This time, the opening ceremony was a special highlight – 8 selected out of over 200 youth projects in Austria got awarded. United Games Austria was one of them, which could prove successful with the project "EuroPEER". The programme of the ceremony began at 2pm with the exhibition and commendation of the projects, followed by a presentation of a study and a discussion round, and as the finish of the opening the visitors were allowed to walk around the stations of the diverse youth organisations, where every project got presented supported by photos, videos and other materials, and they could catch up on information about the projects and organisations of the awarded. Some guests of honour were also invited like the Europe Delegates Christa Prets and Wolfgang Bulfon, and Andrea Kdolsky, the Federal Minister of youth, family and health.
