United Games of Nations Czech Republic is a non-governmental youth organisation founded in 1992 in Plzeň by Dr. Jiří Vaculík, who has been since that time President of UG CZ. In 1996, UG CZ moved from Plzen to Olomouc and is nowadays heavily supported by th e Children's House (DDM) and co-operates also with the Palacky's University in Olomouc. Young members meet according to the organisational needs (basically at least once a month), e.g. when in the process of preparation of a project, festival, competition…etc. We also organise weekend camps during the whole year, where we recruit new UG members and provide them with information about United Games and about the possibilities how to get involved. Our fundraising is focused on a few possible sources – the Czech National Agency Youth (administering the EU Youth in Action Programme), Ministry of Education, Municipality of Olomouc and Olomouc Region... UG CZ co-operates with all the other UG countries as well as realise its own projects.
