1990 – During the first festival near Szentgotthárd, in Hungary, the United Games Border Monument was inaugurated on the border between Hungary and Austria.
1991 – The international festival of United Games was organised in Pápa, in a former Soviet army barracks in partnership with Mürzsteg (Austria) and Berlin (Germany). The festival was attended by 30,000 people.
1992 – From that year on, numerous playgrounds have been installed in various Hungarian villages (Pápa, Balatonalmádi, Tihany, Veszprém and Balatonfüred) as an initiated project from United Games Hungary’s side. To support the affirmation of Children’s Rights, we organised several international forums on the rights of a child, like Children’s Summits and Children’s Hearings, the aim of this movement was the forming of several students’ councils in the County of Veszprém. These forums were attended by important political figures, for example by Mr. Göncz Árpád, Mr. Orbán Viktor, Mr. Magyar Bálint, Mr. Deutsch Tamás, etc.
1994/95 – In cooperation with the Youth Foundation of the County of Veszprém, we coordinated the Hungarian/Canadian youth exchange-program, which was an initiative of the Canada World Youth’s side.
1993 – From that year, Yugoslavs have become regular participants of our events. Due to this contact, the town of Subotica joined United Games, and also the “Postpessimists” youth movement started. In 1994 in cooperation with the Municipality of Subotica, we organised the Peace Day in the town of Subotica. In June 1996 in cooperation with leading Yugoslav, Hungarian and Holland rock musicians, a concert was held along with a bike demonstration in both Subotica and Balatonfüred.
1995 – On the occasion of the celebration of United Nations’ 50th anniversary Veszprém, along with eight other European cities, we hosted the “Peace Child – Still life” musical.
1994 – Together with the Apáczai Csere János Training College, we organised several game summits and game philosophy seminars.
1995 – In cooperation with the municipalities of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County, we organised a book collection for the schools of Voivodina.
1996 – In October we elected one adult and two young people to attend the “Young Voices at the UN” meeting on children’s rights in New York.
1997 – The project “European Classrooms” began. This was a United Games Hungary national campaign, and the result of it was the opening of European Classrooms all over Hungary.
1998 – Since that year, approximately 50 young Hungarians have participated on the United Games festival in Bangalore, India. Also, we organised and conducted several games workshops on various international events in Mostar, Olomouc, Cape Town and Sardinia.
1999 – UGH actively took part in the writing and editing of the international book writing project: “Young People’s Book on Non-Violence”. In 2002, the book was published in Italy.
2000 – UGH contributed to building and reconstructing of schools in India together with international partners.
2001 – UGH successfully joined the “Be the Change!” international campaign, which was initiated and strengthened on the first and second World Youth Congresses held in Hawaii and in Morocco.
