Date : 21st Oct 08 - 1st Nov 08
Age : 16 years to 60 years.
Delegation size : 3 - 4 members per Country. (Adjustments can be made considering the size of the entire delegation)
Delegates are welcome from non UG countries as well
21st, 22nd and 23rd
The first three days in India will be spent relaxing in Mamallapuram , 50 kms from chennai, in a resort by the beach. The time spent in Mamallapuram will be also used to look around the small town and relax by the sea! This lodging at Mamallapuram will be on the delegates expense. The total amount for the three days will not exceed 75EUR.
24th Oct to 1st No
The delegates will arrive in Bangalore by train.
This year we will be working towards the upliftment and development of women and children in a slum with more 300 dwellers.
The action project will mainly consist of conducting various interactive sessions with a specific group of children in the slum.
The activities of the action project will be in the terms of education and importance of schooling, Sports, Health and hygiene and other fun activities!
One of the days has been set aside for adventure sports which will be conducted for the delegates.
The delegates will also have the opportunity to visit Bangalore and all its beautiful sights!
2nd, 3rd November
The Indian games officially ends on the 1st evening, but the delegates are welcome to travel in the south of India (on your own expense).
The following are the possible options:
1. Travel to Hampi , which is a beautiful scenic place with lovely monuments and alot of historic sights. Then fly out from Bangalore.
OR
Travel to Coorg, a city in the south filled with beautiful sloping hills of coffee plantations, banana plantations and wild life. Then return to Bangalore and fly out from there.
2. Travel to Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, spend time on the beach and relax and then fly back from Chennai, which is 50 kms from there.
Those who wish to spend the two days in Bangalore are welcome to do so, and then fly out from there. There will be the possibility of hosting them for two days, but i cannot confirm as yet!
